FTP Hosting

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a way to quickly upload and download files on the Internet. An FTP Site on the Internet can store a number of files (they could be application executables, graphics, or audio clips, for example), and runs an FTP server host application that waits for transfer requests. To download a file to your own system or upload a file to the server, you run an FTP client application that connects to the FTP server host and request a file from a particular directory or folder.
We recommend WS FTP for PC's, Fetch FTP for Mac users or our Free Java FTP client for exclusive use with our hosting packages. Internet browsers also have the ability to establish FTP connections. Many Internet Service Providers limit the size of email attachments and space on their servers (around 5mg). Using FTP and one of our site hosting packages, you are only limited by the amount of FTP space you are allocated on the server.
